Geotourist is delighted to join the line-up for XpoNorth2021, the interactive digital conference on 16th and 17th of June 2021. The Xpo North conference is an engaging and innovative event, which brings leading regional, national and international voices together to discuss the factors effecting and shaping the creative, digital and heritage sectors, through this year’s key themes: new ways of working and storytelling.
Headlining the two-day event is broadcaster and award-winning Professor of history, Suzannah Lipscomb, who will be joined by actor and TV presenter, Sir Tony Robinson.
Speakers from the world of film include executive producer Jason Lust, whose films include Peter Rabbit and the Buccaneer Media team behind the Emmy-winning drama Marcella, Richard Tulk-Hart and Tony Wood.
Thrilled to be joining a panel discussion around the power of audio is Lindsey Wilson, head of UK and Ireland partner relations for Geotourist. Lindsey has given us a sneak peak with what can be expected when she spoke, earlier this year, to Jessica Fox of Xpo North, for an Xpo North Digital Short. Sharing what makes a good story, Lindsey explored how Geotourist helps us to discover the world, even in lockdown.
XpoNorth is a year around support programme for Highlands and Islands-based businesses, helping to develop the region’s creative economy. With an annual conference, sector specialist support, two funded programmes (for heritage and digital) and training, Xpo North is Highlands and Islands Enterprise’s mechanism for creative economy sector support, with additional funding from City-Region Deal (Cumhnant Baile-Roinne) through The Northern Innovation Hub, Museums Galleries Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland and Creative Scotland.
