Geotourist Granted WTTC SafeTravels Mark

Geotourist has been granted use of the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travels Mark as part of the VisitBritain ‘We’re Good To Go’ programme.

An outstanding example of how organisations can work together to deliver outcomes with a powerful, positive impact for the industry, businesses and the visitors, VisitBritain has linked with WTTC to help sow the seeds of recovery for the travel and tourism sector in the UK.

The WTTC Safe Travels protocols and the SafeTravels Stamp are being utilised to inspire confidence for those planning to travel all over the world. Displaying the SafeTravels Stamp will help travellers to recognise when destinations and organisations have adopted the SafeTravels health and hygiene global standardised protocols, which take the current World Health Organisation (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines into account.

Shaon Talukder, CEO of Geotourist, said,”VisitBritain’s collaboration with the World Travel and Tourism Council is to be both celebrated and appreciated. The coronavirus pandemic has stalled the global tourism economy but this demonstrates a strategic partnership that realises the benefits of the SafeTravels Stamp for businesses and organisations who, just as Geotourist, have worked hard to secure their ‘We’re Good To Go’ mark. As a member of the WTTC, we are delighted to be able to display the SafeTravels Stamp as it represents the Council’s commitment to supporting travel and tourism recovery worldwide.”
